We decided to take some time to relax this weekend and spend some time together as a family. It’s been great and it was really needed!
Saturday we decided we would go to the Virginia Highlands Air Show. The gates opened at 9am but we decided to get breakfast and take our time getting there and we arrived at 10:30am. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for this event. We had time to walk around, take pictures, look at all the planes and still get a “front and center” seat. The show started at 12pm with skydivers bringing down the American Flag while “The Star Spangled Banner” was played. It was beautiful! How anyone could watch that and not get teary eyed is beyond me!
All of the pilots/planes put on a great show! I know we’ll do our best to go next year as well.
